Missouri Unemployment Insurance
The Missouri Unemployment Insurance program is designed to provide benefits for individuals who become unemployed through no fault of their own. These weekly benefits are based on the individual’s previously earned wages that were covered by state or federal UC laws.
An individual can file a claim to receive benefits as soon as they
become unemployed. The Missouri unemployment insurance benefits website
can be accessed at
http://www.ui.dolir.mo.gov/. This website allows an individual to
file new, weekly, or renewed claims without incurring any fee.

After an individual files a claim, they will be mailed a form that shows their weekly and maximum benefit amounts, the beginning date of the claim, and the individual’s base period. It also shows the amount of wages reported by each of their employers. Even though the form will show the individual is an insured worker, it doesn’t necessarily mean they will receive the benefits.
The individual can file a claim at a regional office, over the telephone, or through the online filing system. Once the claim is reviewed and approved, there is a waiting week before payments will begin. An eligible individual can qualify for up to 26 weeks of Missouri unemployment insurance benefits under the regular benefits program.
The Missouri Unemployment Insurance program provides benefits for unemployed individuals who lost work through no fault of their own. The individual’s former employers who paid unemployment insurance determine the individual’s eligibility for benefits.
